41st International Convention
Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Nearly 4,000 AFSCME attendees will be in Chicago next week for our 41st International Convention. Even if you aren’t going to be there, you can still make your voice heard by sending Facebook messages, tweets, or Instagram photos that will be projected for all to see, simply by using the hashtag #afscmebold.
Tell our sisters and brothers how you’ve been Bold, Brave, or Determined in the last year. There’s no need to be humble. Go ahead and brag about all of the amazing things you’ve done on the job while providing vital services. Or tell us how you pushed back against anti-worker policies in your community.
Click here to write your message on the AFSCME Bold Facebook page. (Don't have a Facebook account? Click here to submit your answer.)
Here is an example of what one AFSCME sister shared:
Maria Navarro wrote, “We at CSEA Local 1000, Region One, Suffolk Education Local 870 stood up for 13 Food Service members who named themselves as the Baker's Dozen...We stood up to the School Board to ask them to reconsider outsourcing our members.”
What’s your story? Tell us everything, no matter how big or small an accomplishment. And if a story doesn't come to mind, that's okay. You can still send a message of solidarity. Click here to send your message now.
In solidarity,
Tracey Conaty
